Say goodbye to U.S. auto industry
With General Motors flirting with bankruptcy, Ford announcing the closure of plants and the firing of workers, Daimler Chrysler has announced that it will be laying off 4,000 white collar workers in coming months. The industry as a whole is firing tens of thousands of union workers and a very significant number of executives, engineers, and other white collar workers.
