Forty-eight grandmothers marched into a recruiting station at the University of Minnesota today and insisted that they be allowed to fill out enlistment papers. It was their way of protesting the war on Iraq, according to a story in the
Star Tribune.
We think at this juncture, with elistments in the all-volunteer services lagging way behind their quotas, the Grandma Platoon will have no shortage of volunteers.
