The blog Clean Cut Kid has a story that connects John Thune to a bad loan made by Metabank to the Dan Nelson automobile company that declared bankruptcy recently. Nelson was Thune’s campaign manager in his first run for Congress. Thune sat on the board of directors of Metabank which loaned Nelson more than $28 million. Nelson has debts of $30 million.
